Shimi Baras

This land is where our forefathers and mothers walked, where the pilgrims traveled to get to the Temple in Jerusalem

While living in Los Angeles as a Shaliach, I was exposed to the trend of “Movie Tours”. These tours took you to see where the hotel from a specific movie was taken, where did the hero jump off the bridge, and where was the main scene filmed.

When you walk with me in Gush Etzion, you are following a movie as well – the movie of our lives.

This land is where our forefathers and mothers walked, where the pilgrims traveled to get to the Temple in Jerusalem, where Eleazar and the Maccabees fought, where Herod built the aqueduct to the temple and, even up to today, where the war of independence was fought in 1948.

The most important thing for me is to add value to every trip and to connect my travelers personally to the story of the place.”
